Dimark took part in Konferencja Skrzydła Lotnictwa, held at Poznań University of Technology, bringing together industry professionals and students entering the aviation sector.
This time, the focus went beyond projects and systems. The conference created space for direct exchange between experienced practitioners and future engineers, highlighting how knowledge and real operational insight can be shared across generations in an academic environment closely connected to technical education.
Our Deputy Director of R&D, Mikołaj Lis, contributed to the programme both through a presentation and participation in a panel discussion.
During his presentation, “Baggage engineering: how modern airport sorting systems work and are built”, he walked through how modern baggage handling systems are designed, built and operated in real airport environments, providing a practical perspective on the complexity behind everyday passenger processes.
Mikołaj also took part in the panel discussion “The passenger at the center: how airports are evolving”, moderated by Marcin Wesołek, Spokesperson at Poznań-Ławica Airport. The discussion focused on how airports are evolving to meet changing passenger expectations, while maintaining efficiency, reliability and operational control.
Events like this play an important role in shaping the future of the industry. They create opportunities not only to share knowledge, but also to inspire and better prepare the next generation of engineers who will be responsible for developing and operating increasingly complex airport systems.
We are glad to have been part of this conversation.
