Bangkok hosted this year’s Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific & Middle East RACE 2026, bringing together airport representatives and industry partners to discuss the future of aviation infrastructure across some of the world’s fastest-growing markets.
Held under the theme “Airports as Engines of Shared Prosperity”, the event focused on the broader role airports play in regional development, connectivity and long-term economic growth. Discussions covered topics including rising passenger volumes, airport capacity, cybersecurity, climate resilience, sustainability and total airport management.
Dimark was represented during the event by Tomasz Hamrol and Aleksy Popek, who followed discussions on how airports across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East are preparing for future demand through large-scale greenfield development and infrastructure expansion.
Particular attention was given to operational resilience and the growing impact of geopolitical pressure on connectivity, network stability and passenger traffic across the region.
From a baggage handling perspective, this scale of growth creates increasing demand for systems that are scalable, reliable and prepared for operational pressure from the very beginning of airport operations.
The conference provided valuable insight into how airports in these regions are approaching long-term infrastructure planning and operational readiness in rapidly evolving market conditions.
