Dimark has successfully completed baggage handling system testing for Terminal 3 at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, marking an important milestone in the airport’s operational readiness.
The Airport Operational Readiness Test (AORT), completed on 18 December 2025, confirmed the system’s readiness for live operations. The testing phase began on 21 July 2025 and included the processing of 600,000 bags under simulated operational conditions. This followed the earlier Non-Operational Test Period (NOTP), during which a further 400,000 bags were processed.
In total, 1 million bags passed through the system during testing, allowing for comprehensive verification of performance, reliability and operational scenarios. With this stage successfully completed, the BHS for Terminal 3 can now be considered ready for handover and live airport operations.
The next phase will be the Real Operation Test Period (ROTP), during which Dimark will continue to support the airport team throughout the first three months of commercial operations.
This milestone confirms the robustness of the BHS delivered by Dimark and highlights our contribution to one of the most advanced airport projects in South Asia.
